Q. acutissima, the Sawtooth Oak, is a medium to large deciduous tree native to China, Tibet, Korea, Japan, Indochina (Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia) and the Himalayas. Has glossy mid-green leaves with a serrated edge during the growing season turning a golden yellow in autumn. Flowers are yellow catkins in Spring.
A reasonably quick growing tree to 20+m tall x 8-12m width.
