A more highly coloured clone of Gala. Discovered in 1971 by H.W. Ten Hove, New Zealand. Introduced in 1974 by D.W. McKenzie, Fruit Research Orchard, Havelock North, New Zealand. Fruits are sweet, crisp and juicy with an aromatic flavour.
