Aristocrat Callery Pear (Pyrus calleryana 'Aristocrat') quickly grows 10-15m high and 8-10m wide, with widely-spaced, upright-spreading, thornless branches.
In spring before the new leaves unfold, the tree puts on a brilliant display of pure white flowers. The leaves emerge as red/purple, then become 4 to 7cm long, glossy green with wavy margins and a red blush. They turn red again in autumn before dropping. Small, pea-sized, red/brown fruits can form and persist for several months to a year.
Aristocrat, like many of the Callery pears tolerates a wide range of conditions including second line coastal situations.
