Pick-up only Weeper grafted at 1.8m tall. Pruning to comply with Australia Post requirements is not appropriate for this plant.
Prunus serrulata 'Shimidsu Sakura' is a semi-weeper, rather than a true weeper. The young branches have an upright spreading growth habit, which becomes flatter and more pendulous as the tree matures.
Large double blossoms appear in spring that are pink in bud and fade to white as they open. Hanging in clusters under the branches, they give a very attractive display. Foliage is green changing to yellow, orange and reds during Autumn.
