The Engelmann Oak Quercus engelmannii is likely to grow to a medium tree but can grow quite large with ideal conditions. Generally evergreen but can be summer deciduous in very hot and dry seasons or locations.The small blue-green coloured leaves are leathery. A hardy tree originating in southern California and due to urbanisation now rare in its natural range. Moderately fast growing.
