M. x purpurea ‘Eleyi’
Raised and named Prior to 1920 for Charles Eley, East Bergholt, Suffolk, England. An attactive variety with deep red buds followed by fragrant, violet-pink flowers and purple foliage. Purplish-red fruits will stay on the tree until winter.

- Features: Crabapple jelly, good pollinator for apples.
