This practical workshop will cover summer pruning and training to promote fruit production and compact, manageable fruit trees on a range of orchard systems including espalier, free-standing and trellised trees.

- A little theory about summer and winter pruning.
- Summer pruning apples, pears and stone fruit.
- Tying and training demonstrations of espalier, trellised and free-standing systems.
- Visit the Collections Orchard and Scion Orchard
- Pruning tool selection, sharpening and care.
- Includes morning tea on arrival*
Your instructor will be Rob Pelletier, horticulturist and proprietor of Heritage Fruit Trees.
