Cercis chinensis, the Chinese Redbud can reach 15 metres tall but is more often a large shrub form. Leaves are heart shaped and useful in floral displays. Pink flowers with purple overtones cover the bare branches in early spring. A very attractive garden specimen that can tolerate a little shade and damp positions.
