FAMILY FRIENDLY

  • This will be an enjoyable day so we won’t be working too hard.
  • Based on many hands making light work.
  • Kids are welcome but you must promise to leave with at least as many children as you arrived with!
  • You will need to supervise your own kids to avoid any safety issues.

ACTIVITIES

  • Removing burned plants and compromised hedge lines.
  • Removing damaged trellising, garden edge, fencing.
  • Opportunity to discuss the damage we sustained and fire recovery plans.

DATE & TIME

  • Sunday March 17th, 2024 whatever time you can spare between 9:00am and 4:00pm

CATERING

  • Morning tea on arrival.
  • Tea/coffee/water will be available under cover all day.
  • BBQs available with condiments supplied.
  • Please BYO lunch, snacks, crockery, cutlery, cups. Salad and bread supplied by us.
  • We have two BBQs - one for meat, the other for vegetarian grills. 

PROGRAM

9:00am - Arrive and morning tea (supplied)
9:30am - Briefing 
9:45am - Begin working bee activities
12:00pm - Lunch
12:45pm - Property overview and recovery plans
1:00pm - Resume cleanup, finish up as it suits
4:00pm - Activites completed

PLEASE BRING

  • Gloves and work clothing.
  • Closed shoes or boots.
  • Hat and sun protection.
  • BYO lunch, snacks, crockery, cutlery, cups. (Salad and bread supplied by us.)
  • If available secateurs, pruning saws, loppers, wire cutters - we have some tools as well.

SUPPLIED

  • A qualified first aid person will be in attendance.
  • Long handled tools including shovels, rakes, etc.
  • Some hand held pruning equipment.
  • Wire cutters.
  • Wheel barrows. 

MEETING/LUNCH ROOM

  • Our training room is air-conditioned and will have plenty of tables and chairs.
  • BBQs will be located under cover.
  • There will be a shade gazebo at the work site with cold water.
  • A toilet is close by.
