The Bechtel Crab was discovered in Staunton Illinois by E. A. Bechtel and introduced into gardens between 1840 and 1850. It is one of the most beautiful crabapples when flowering with stunning double pink, fragrant blooms. It flowers later in the season helping to extend the blossom season. Attractive autumn foliage.
